Introduce the student to safety, safe firearms handling and personal defense
Phase 1: Safety Theory and Legislation
Fundamental principles of responsibility when owning a weapon are taught, applicable laws on firearms and the ethical and legal obligations of the carrier, as well as the basics of safe use and handling of firearms
Phase 2: Weapon Knowledge
Learn about the parts of the weapon, its operation, maintenance and cleaning to ensure responsible and safe handling. Additionally, principles of basic defensive techniques are addressed, along with essential concepts such as safety rules, situational awareness, risk prevention and environmental control.
Phase 3: Stance and Static Shooting
Fundamental skills for responsible weapon handling are developed, including grip techniques, stance, alignment and aiming in static shooting. These exercises form the basis of reliable defensive performance. Likewise, essential concepts such as situational awareness, environmental control, basic shooting positions and safety principles at all times are introduced
Phase 4: Personal Defense and Drills
Fundamental notions of personal defense with firearms are applied and basic drills are carried out in controlled environments, in order to integrate what has been learned safely. Additionally, principles such as decision-making under pressure, threat identification, effective communication and maintaining safety at all times are reinforced.
